"I Can't Drive 55" is the theme for our Road Trip to celebrate the Milestone Birthdays of Jay Eaton (55) and Lou Spelts (65). This party is for the whole weekend. If you can join us on Friday May 7th, meet us at noon at the 5 & Diner on Ray Rd. just east of the I-10. After lunch, we will caravan to Bisbee together. If you need to come down later on Friday, or even if you leave to come down sometime Saturday, you can still make the party main event, Saturday at 5pm. This weekend should provide great weather for a convertible and topless fun! Ladies, we mean the car, not you! Please feel free to bring friends and carpool. Remember to bring some road trip tunes, especially Sammy Haggar's VOA for the weekend theme song: I Can't Drive 55.

The Shady Dell is the location for the party, with restored 1950's era travel trailers for rent overnight. If you want a trailer, Barb has one extra reserved for Friday/Saturday, 2 nights, so call her quick! It doesn't have a bathroom, but there are bathrooms right across the little lawn with showers too. Otherwise, there are nice hotels/motels in Bisbee, including the Copper Queen and the Jonquil, and others.

For this weekend, please bring your own beverages and we'll do a potluck dinner at the trailer park on Friday night. You can either bring your dinner contribution with you or they have a nice Safeway not too far away where you can get anything you need after you arrive in Bisbee. Saturday night we're grilling steaks and chicken for everyone, the dinner will be provided. Please RSVP with your entree choice, let us know when you will be arriving and where you are staying. Keep in mind, that Sunday is Mother's Day, so most of us will leave in the morning to have time with our families by mid-afternoon. Please drive safely and we hope you can join us!
